Christopher Gibney was the beloved son of Quynh Gibney and David Gibney, Music Director at Del Dios Academy of Arts & Sciences.
Christopher – our Little Rainbow Dragon – came to this earth on January 6, 2005 with all of his love and bravery. He left this love with us on December 19th, 2007 before returning to continue painting the sky with his double rainbows bringing part of our hearts with him.
The Christopher Gibney Foundation has been established to honor his life with us and to offer some help to other children in making their life more joyful with music. Our Little Rainbow Dragon always loved music and we still hear his sweet voice singing in the wind and ringing in our souls.
The Christopher Gibney Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity that supports public school music education in the Escondido Union School District and elsewhere. It also contributes to groups working towards finding a reliable screening and improved curative therapies for neuroblastoma, a solid tumor childhood cancer of the sympathetic nervous system. Christopher Gibney passed away from neuroblastoma after fighting the disease for 11 months.
